G&S Review Our last concert was a selection of Gilbert and Sullivan pieces, using soloists from within the choir, with the very talented Cher Mole as accompanist. This was held in the barn at Piggott's on Saturday 13th May. It provided an excellent opportunity to showcase some of the regular choir members, performing solos, duets and singing in small groups. Highlights must have been the men singing 'Three Little Maids from School'. They looked really sweet in their kimonos! A very professional performance was staged by our conductor, Cathie Kaye, singing a duet with James Moorcroft. Both the choir and the audience seemed to enjoy the entertainment and the excellent refreshments served afterwards. We have a very loyal audience and we do thank them for their support. We are also very grateful to Mr Wheeler Robinson for again allowing us to use such a lovely venue. Rosemary Mortham Hallmark [Previous review] |
